Blue Longboard With Rosewood D-Fin, photographed by Timothy Hogan. The rich burnt-umber rosewood fin in this photograph contrasts with the blue rail of this vintage surfboard for a dramatic effect. It is one of our best sellers from The Fin Project series. Dave Sweet was an innovative surfboard manufacturer from Santa Monica, California. This is a very early example (c. 1953) and features beautiful, haphazard resin work. The board is from the collection of the Surfing Heritage and Cultural Center.
