Consigned Vintage, Country Kitchen Cabinet

This cabinet was once used in a provincial kitchen to store fruits and vegetables. It has open lattice doors and an open lattice back, designed to keep the stored contents fresh. The cabinet’s masterful mortise and tenon construction joins the carved wood pieces together without a nail or screw. The wood has aged with wonderful character over time and has an aged, warm reddish patina. Three drawers lining the bottom provide additional storage space.
