Cutter Wardrobe 47.5″, Teak

Thanks to exquisite and elegant design, Cutter is without doubt among Skagerak’s most popular furniture series. Since the launch of the first Cutter item, the furniture series has grown wide and has made its entry to every room of the house. The Cutter Bench was the first item of the series and was designed for the exhibition Walk the Plank, where Niels Hvass cut up a plank to make a bench with grooves and a frame that ties structure and surface together in a continuous shape inspired by the Bauhaus movement’s use of metal pipes. Today, Cutter has developed into a series that includes several functional storage elements such as the Cutter Bench and Stool, Cutter Mirror, Cutter Wardrobes and the Cutter Boxes, which has an extra detail, in shape of a lid that fits the large Cutter box. The lid is made of wood and painted with black rubber paint to match all three versions of the box – oak, teak and black. With this extra detail, the series obtains a new dimension of practical hide away.
