With great respect and admiration for the original designs and in close collaboration with the descendants of these renowned furniture makers, we are pleased and proud to be able to bring these icons back. Franco Albini designed this timeless rattan ottoman, a piece of furniture that is a truly unique and artistically elegant. The distinguished multi-purpose item is now part of Sika-Design’s ICONS collection and is more relevant than ever due to the ecological sustainability of the natural material. Features: Rattan is strong, lightweight, flexible, and durable. Rattan is a natural climbing plant that grows in the Indonesian rainforest, without disturbing the existing structure and balance in the rainforest. Rattan frame will weather over time to a silvery patina and if the original natural rattan look is desired, rub with linseed oil. ArtFibre is a fiber made of dyed and hard-wearing polyethylene. It is ideal for outdoor use in any climate as it is temperature and UV-resistant. The ArtFibre is flexible and, when woven, provides optimal comfort and a structure that is strong and can maintain its shape for years on end.
