Indian Tribal Dowry Chest

A small teak tribal dowry chest from Rajasthan Indian. It has a steeply peaked lid that is inspired by the temple architecture of the region surrounding Rajasthan. This box features beautiful sunflower carved motifs with metal nail studs and banded accents. It opens in the center and sits on delicately carved spindled feet and wears an aged brown patina.
